WHO ARE WE?
G-Tennis coaches Catherine & Chris (seen left) feel very passionately about making Tennis available to everyone at an affordable cost, regardless of age, class, gender and race.
G tennis believes in the vast difference between TEACHING (often overlooked!), TRAINING & COACHING.
TEACHING - Getting fundamental technique right in the early stages of learning. Teaching & building coordination & balance being equally important.
TRAINING - Consolidating techniques through repetition and tactically relevant drills.
COACHING - Developing tactical understanding through more match play and appreciating the psychological demands of the game.
HiTT (high intensity Tennis training) is our new version of Cardio Tennis. The aim of the session is to hit lots of balls, burn lots of calories and work up a sweat. Unlike lots of other cardio tennis sessions, we use equipment such as kettlebells, resistance bands and medicine balls. We have coaching aids to help with using spin and play fun games.
G Tennis are offering HiTT for schools as a great way for children and teenagers to get active whilst improving coordination and ball sense.
HiTT is for EVERYONE! Whether you are Roger Federer or a complete beginner you can enjoy the class. All we ask is that you push yourself as hard as you can!
Chris has always made learning tennis great fun for our boys. They learn fantastic skills, and have opportunities to play competitively, but above all they look forward to going every week - Chris has been teaching them for over 6 years now!
